We have an opportunity for a Senior PHP/Facebook developer to join our development team. You will develop complex solutions with your creativity, logical thinking and diligence. You will work in a team with our experienced technology resources.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Functions

  • Build, test and maintain code using PHP, Ajax, JQuery, JavaScript & DOM
  • Develop new features with JavaScript and jQuery, based on JSON & XML data provided by a .NET, Java or PHP service layer.
  • Design, architect and implement framework extensions and improvements
  • Understand & adhere to industry and company best practices for delivering fast loading web sites
  • Assist project teams in scoping and estimating project work.
  • Stay current with new php techniques and technologies and share knowledge with team members.
  • Develop functional prototypes to demonstrate concepts.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and application engineers to refine and improve the user experience.
  • Partner with peers in application engineering to ensure that interactive techniques and technologies translate through to world class products and services.

Experience

  • Expertise in PHP, Facebook PHP SDK, Facebook Graph API, Facebook Rest API, Facebok Connect, XFBML, FBML & FBJS, iFrame-based App Development
  • Expertise in XHTML/CSS/JavaScript (specifically jQuery and jQuery UI). The more you’ve used HTML5 and CSS3, the better.
  • Clean hand coded HTML, object oriented JavaScript including jQuery, jQueryUI and AJAX, well-structured CSS (2&3)
  • Ability to take Photoshop mockups and create high performance web pages that meet the design and technical specifications following accepted best practices for minimizing client and network footprint.
  • Familiar with optimization techniques (both in file weight and perceived/actual rendering speed), cross-browser/platform issues, and tradeoffs between speed, design, flexibility, and the underlying page (i.e. JSP/PHP/CMS) architecture
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across browsers (e.g. JavaScript, jQuery, CSS and HTML)

Education

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail is necessary to assure that all code follows appropriate processes, is accurate, and passes validation
