Nicola Dowe, Campaign Manager

My Coke Rewards continues to be one of Studiocom’s most successful campaigns. Today, PricewaterhouseCoopers has valued mycokerewards.com as a company asset worth tens of millions of dollars. As the site and program grow further and exponentially, Studiocom needed a strategic leader to guide its expansion. The agency brought in Nicola Dowe as Campaign Manager based on her extensive experience in ad operations, sales support, policy and procedure development. Nicola will manage the day-to-day operations of My Coke Rewards as well as handle client relations for many of our other partners. She joins us from weather.com, where she assisted in project initiatives for the weather.com site and Weather Channel Mobile. Nicola believes Studiocom’s innovative and encouraging atmosphere will allow her to make truly meaningful contributions to her clients.

Laura Haynes, Senior Social Marketing Strategist

As a leading digital agency, Studiocom has been living and breathing social media for years. Social media is no longer an individual marketing effort; it’s quickly become the primary avenue to engage consumers. Studiocom hired Laura Haynes to further develop our social media strategies and seamlessly integrate them into our clients’ marketing plans. Laura is perfect for her role as Sr. Social Marketing Strategist due to an impressive background in social, mobile, email and search marketing. At AEG, one of the world’s largest sports and entertainment presenters, she led digital and social campaigns for the LA Kings, LA Galaxy and the David Beckham Academy. Laura also has in-depth experience managing major accounts for the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Spirit, the parent company of the Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers. Her knowledge reaches way beyond sports as well. Recently, she established the social media presence for Blockbuster Express from the ground up. Laura was thrilled to join Studiocom after witnessing the success of our Dunkin’ Donuts social media campaign.

This month marks the ten-year anniversary for five members of the Studiocom team. In the Atlanta office, we’re celebrating Mauricio Ruiz & Luis Lopez (a.k.a. Murdock), while Bogotá is celebrating ten years with Miguel Leyva, Berny Bettencourt, and Edilma Correa. Check out the surprise that Studiocom’s president, Carlos Pimenta, pulled out of his Santa bag for these dedicated team members:

Saying goodbye to mid-town

Posted on 09/30/2010 19:34:06

After three always-interesting years, those of us in Studiocom’s Atlanta office just made the move down Peachtree Street to our new digs 40 stories over downtown. But what was the proper way to say farewell to our Midtown office space that has treated us so well?

Drinks? A going away party? Maybe a speech?

Well, for those of us at Studiocom, there really was only one possible answer: Packing Cart Racing.

All you need is a giant open space where everyone’s desks used to be, a couple rolling packing containers, and a few cases of ice-cold courage juice.

Put it all together and add a gong, and it was a great, only somewhat insane, way to say goodbye to 1955 Peachtree Street:

Oh, and despite a few near misses, we are happy – and surprised – to report that no one got hurt.

New office space, new perspectives

Posted on 08/22/2010 20:52:54

Studiocom's new home

After the frantic pace of an office move amidst several major client deliverables, we are only now just beginning to settle into our new office space. Despite some initial concerns about moving downtown, our team loves the number of lunch options, convenient access to Marta is a huge plus and its hard to beat the great panoramic views. While we remain continuously intrigued by the amount of helicopter activity over Atlanta, we have enjoyed the changing Atlanta cityscape at different times of the day. From days where we literally sit in the clouds, to days we get distracted by approaching storms to days that we can see forever.

The constantly changing cityscape is not unlike the changes we see in our industry. Its this constant change that captivates our interest in this exciting industry. After all, change very often powers innovation – its what gets us thinking about the possibilities. From technological advancements and/or changes in user behavior there are a myriad of opportunities to craft experiences and platforms for clients. Keeping track of and curating consumer insights, technology advancements and analyzing market segment news provide the foundational seeds for our thinking.

It was with this perspective that we eagerly launched our new website. To share some of the interesting and relevant trends we are seeing, hinting at the various things we are noodling on, publishing POV’s, celebrating client launches and sharing some of the behind the scenes fun.
Stay tuned to meet some of our team members and for fresh, relevant and thought provoking content.
