A post-advertising world?

Posted on 10/08/2010 12:13:54

In the greatest communications shift in centuries, new technologies are allowing people to take control in ways never before possible. The formerly passive audience has transformed into creators, co-creators, and participants. How will advertising agencies transition from organizations designed to deliver mass-messages to ones that are relevant in this new world of mass conversations?

John Rich, our Director of Strategy and Planning, will be presenting his ideas on preparing for life in the post-advertising world to the New Mexico Advertising Federation on October 19, 2010.

In Albuquerque on October 19th? Stop by for lunch and the chat.

New office space, new perspectives

Studiocom's new home

After the frantic pace of an office move amidst several major client deliverables, we are only now just beginning to settle into our new office space. Despite some initial concerns about moving downtown, our team loves the number of lunch options, convenient access to Marta is a huge plus and its hard to beat the great panoramic views. While we remain continuously intrigued by the amount of helicopter activity over Atlanta, we have enjoyed the changing Atlanta cityscape at different times of the day. From days where we literally sit in the clouds, to days we get distracted by approaching storms to days that we can see forever.

The constantly changing cityscape is not unlike the changes we see in our industry. Its this constant change that captivates our interest in this exciting industry. After all, change very often powers innovation – its what gets us thinking about the possibilities. From technological advancements and/or changes in user behavior there are a myriad of opportunities to craft experiences and platforms for clients. Keeping track of and curating consumer insights, technology advancements and analyzing market segment news provide the foundational seeds for our thinking.

It was with this perspective that we eagerly launched our new website. To share some of the interesting and relevant trends we are seeing, hinting at the various things we are noodling on, publishing POV’s, celebrating client launches and sharing some of the behind the scenes fun.
Stay tuned to meet some of our team members and for fresh, relevant and thought provoking content.
